The Big Three O.
I've never really had a full on birthday bash, so what could be more appropriate than thirty itself.

The day started at about 5am, when I woke up and realised that I wasn't going back to sleep. The only sensible thing to do was to join the boys from work on a run through Hakone. Waiting outside Azabu-Juban station at 6.30am on a Saturday, there are three types of peoples: Golfers, Surfers and general wasters who have no better place to be. I dont golf or surf.

Drove down to Hakone and ran up a mountain, back down it, and became very tired. It took 3h10mins to cover Kintoki and the next stage. 25km of painful pleasure before lunch. 2 days later, my legs still hurt.

Drove back to Tokyo, met Rheanna whilst I will still filthy from the run, at the station, headed home for much desired shower (post Oxfam shower still rates #1, post Amazonian jungle #2 due to the lack of soap) and left the apartment for food. Hooked up with Eden at the crossing, and the 3 of us went to Bar X, that amazing German fella who cooks more than any man or beast can eat. Except, i finished both my food, and some of Rheanna's. God damn, that man can cook. God damn, all the blood in my body was in my stomach. Alberto pops in, cigars in hand, and the 4 of us taxi it down to Shimo-kitazawa for some beers at Trocadero.

A rooftop bar in Shimo with Hoegaarden, champers, cigars and a couple of dozen friends. If ever there was a moment, that was one. Got home around 5am, collapsed. I'd been up for 24 hours.

Spent all of Sunday between the bed and the couch.
