Almost
Mel Gibson's film sports a fella bestowed the monika 'Almost' by his captors. This title has relevance in my life right now, and there is no need to elaborate. Shouldda couldda wouldda. But just almost.
Unsurprisinginly, I'm enjoying summer in JP. There's a lot going on around me, and sometimes, somewhere it co-incidentally involves me. Skimboarding is unlikely to be tried again - it is with humility that I inform you that i lack both skill and the patience to develop the skill for a sport that appears to offer so meagre a fruit of reward to it's elite. Sod that, I'm heading out of town, with a new coffee table - as long as i can get the filthy wax off the board, i see only one way that the board can now be of use to me. Friday night involved a trip to Blue Note to be entertained by Nile Rodgers. An outrageously arrogant feeling of self contentment: to be in gorgeous company as the clock ticks past 12 in a basement jazz bar cheering back to a band who screams "Tokyo; We Love You".
Woke up early and cycled down to Haneda with JB and a few others. 3 hours on the paths under an azure blue sky.
Life
- Listening to Brazilian Girls - Reading Native Son
- Watching Alias
- Next holidays will be Laos then Seoul.
- In Love with 2 people, 1 apartment, and the weather. All fictious.
- Suffering from laziness, tennis elbow, and an unwillingness to socialize.
- Next trip to consumerland could retrieve a GPS system.

Shave
I've had to start shaving my hair, because it's getting too thin. Disaster. I've looked back on some of the photos of me, over the years, and i'm on going to miss those gloriously unkempt black tufts. Photos has led to an obsession with Flickr. Which is handy, because i'm just managing to ween myself of The Shield. Anywho, the flickr account is doing well right now, getting tons of stuff uploaded, and keeping me happy about taking more snaps. So that's what i'll be doing.
The holiday to NZ was chill. All i did was wake up, MTB, eat, MTB and watch TV. It made me realise how easy it is to get lazy, and how i need things to aim for. If it wasn't for Oxfam, i'd be fatter from holiday. Instead, i did stuff.
So now i know, that in order to give up my job, I need to sprinkle out random events for the sake of health throughout the year. So i've ordered a skimboard. Let's see how that works out this weekend.
