Driving Tip
If the guy in front of you stalls, honking and exclaiming a mixture of profanities and coarse threats will help the engine to restart.
OFF:
I'm off to Mt. Naeba tomorrow with a bunch of Japanese kids. One speaks English. My Japanese is still, of course, absolutely absent.
Vincent is off to to the Americas, starting with Brazil, to find himself. The element of his 7 month holiday that i'm jealous of is Burning Man. We rented a car on Friday, and moved all his gear into storage. It's the 2nd time i've watched a man astounded with disbelief and disappointment under the burden of his own possessions. Everything had to go, and what couldn't needed to be stored. Calls to mates and pleas. I made a mental note that this is not going to happen to me anymore. It sucks, and i'm getting to old for it.

Spent the entire day farting about with the bike, and actually managed to make some progress. Shocking.

Ah yes. A few weeks ago, Damian flew over to Japan to shop. A third time. The god of consumerism was worshiped, and Sandra came over to take him back to Edinburgh.

I've roped 3 of the kids at work into doing a 100km charity hike. I've entered it now, so it's too late to back out. Even after hearing stories from last years contestants of bleeding armpits and other such tall tales.

Bought a whole load of books from amazon UK, which will hopefully:
- keep me off the sauce (the litespeed is doing the job exceptionally well at the moment)
- restore my english to at least conversation level
- inspire me to start writing pointless details about my day to day activities in a cynical nonchalant manner

I've read a couple of them already, so i guess all is good.

Reading: Eric Berne
Listening to: Nothing at the moment, but nicked Vince's Denon, so i guess i'll have to start playing something loud soon.
Waiting for: the next season. beach volleyball & surfing.
